About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized - subject to certain rules and regulations.

TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TEDβs overall mission to research and discover βideas worth spreading.β TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through their events.
The YouTube channel has around 42 million subscribers and sees itself as an international community that organizes TED-style events anywhere and everywhere - celebrating locally-driven ideas and elevating them to a global stage.
Under the motto βShaping Tomorrowβ in the middle of the Ruhr area in the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a special event will take place on November 9, 2024.
We will be talking about how we want to shape the future ourselves with our ideas. The speakers are as diverse as the topics. But we have a common goal.
